The Users page in Grabyo Live is where account administrators manage the people who can access the platform. It sits in the account-level management area, where user access, permissions and shared configuration are handled outside individual control rooms.
Use it to view everyone who belongs to the account, add new people, review and change their access, and remove access when it is no longer needed.

What the Users page is for
The page gives administrators a central place to view, add, update and remove user access for the account, so live production resources and permissions can be prepared once and applied consistently across workflows.
View all users who belong to the account
Add new users to the platform account
Review each person's assigned role
Review group membership where shown
Open a user record to update access details
Remove access when a user no longer needs the account
Users, Roles and Groups
Grabyo Live separates identity, permissions and entitlement. A person may have permission to operate parts of the platform through a role, but only gain access to specific resources through group membership.
Concept | What it represents | Why it matters |
Users | Individual people with access to the account | Keeps identity management person-based and auditable |
Roles | Permission sets for platform functions such as production tools or administration features | Controls what a user is allowed to do |
Groups | Resource entitlement such as access to cloud instances or control rooms | Controls what account resources a user can use |
✅ Tip: The Users page manages people, the Roles page manages permissions, and the Groups page manages resource access.
Reading the page
Page area | What to look for | How to use it |
User list | The full list of account users | Scan to confirm who already has access |
Identity fields | Name, email or avatar where shown | Identify the correct person before making changes |
Role summary | The assigned role for the user | Check the person has the correct level of platform access |
Group indicators | Assigned resource access where displayed | Confirm the user can reach the correct rooms or infrastructure |
Status indicators | Labels such as active, invited or disabled where available | Check whether the user can currently sign in and work |
Action menu | Edit or more-options controls on each row | Update, resend or remove access as needed |
Add or invite a user
Open the USERS page from the account management area
Select , CREATE USER action
Enter the person's identity details, such as name and email address, if prompted
Assign the appropriate ROLE so they receive the correct permissions
Assign the appropriate GROUP if resource entitlement is managed in the same workflow
Review the details, then confirm the action
Why user management matters
Security: only approved people can access the account
Operational clarity: teams can see who has access and what they are responsible for
Scalability: structured user, role and group management supports larger teams
Consistency: access is managed centrally rather than inside each production workflow
Governance: onboarding and offboarding are easier to control and audit
Best practices
Keep user records accurate and remove stale access promptly
Use roles for permissions and groups for entitlement rather than mixing the two
Apply consistent naming conventions for users, groups and shared resources
Review access regularly, especially for temporary staff, freelancers and event-based teams
Check permissions before a live production so operators do not lose time resolving access issues during a show
Document any account-specific access conventions your team follows
✅ Tip: Apply the principle of least privilege. Give users the minimum permissions and resource access they need, then expand only when necessary.
