Setup is the account-level configuration space in Grabyo Live. It is where teams manage the shared settings and reusable resources that support production work across the platform. The Setup page currently includes Production slots, Key bindings, Media profiles, and Tags.
What the Setup area is for
No video walkthrough is embedded in this article.
Setup brings together the administrative components that shape how an account works. It supports the platform’s shared-service model, where important configuration is managed once and then reused across multiple productions instead of being recreated separately for each control room.
Production slot infrastructure — create and manage the regional production slots available to the account.
Shared configuration — maintain reusable settings such as key bindings, tags, and media profiles.
Operational consistency — provide standardised shortcuts, labels, and media settings that teams reuse across productions.
Account-level maintenance — keep production resources visible, organised, and ready for use before live work begins.
Reading the Setup page
Setup opens on the PRODUCTION SLOTS tab, which also carries the CREATE PRODUCTION SLOT action. The remaining tabs — Key bindings, Media profiles, and Tags — each hold their own list and actions.
Section | What it manages | Typical audience |
Production slots | Account-level production slot resources. The list view shows slot name, state, current control room, region, and IP address, plus row actions such as edit and more options. | Admins, technical teams |
Key bindings | Reusable operator shortcut mappings, editable outside a control room rather than tied to one room. | Operators, admins |
Media profiles | Reusable encoding and muxing configurations for video, audio, and production outputs. | Admins, technical operators |
Tags | Shared labels used to organise production content and workflows visually. | Operators, producers, admins |
Why Setup matters
Grabyo Live is designed as a standalone platform with shared account services. Production teams do not only work inside individual control rooms; they also rely on account-wide configuration that affects access, consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
📕 Note: Setup is not where live production is run. It is where the reusable conditions for live production are prepared and maintained.
How Setup fits into the platform
Platform area | Relationship to Setup |
Control rooms | Use the account-defined production slots, media profiles, key bindings, and tags configured in Setup. |
Shows | Depend indirectly on the control rooms and reusable production settings shaped in Setup. |
Asset Library | Can be organised using shared tags and account-level conventions. |
