Audio Mixer - Overview

Written by Yoanna Hristova

Grabyo Live features a powerful and highly flexible audio mixer designed to accommodate a range of production workflows. Whether you prefer an automated setup or complete manual control, the interface offers the flexibility needed for high-quality audio management.

Interface layout and navigation

The interface is structured to give quick access to essential tools alongside multi-layer management.

What it gives you

Mode options

Top left. Dive into the detail of any selected track to manage compression, automation settings, and sends and receives

Layer navigation

Directly beneath the mode options. The mixer is split into three core layers: inputs, groups and outputs

Track organisation

Each layer holds up to eight tracks

✅ Tip: The eight-track-per-layer structure makes it straightforward to map and control multiple layers from a standard eight-track physical audio mixer.

Track features and monitoring

Every mixer layer carries a comprehensive set of features for precise control.

Feature

Detail

Level controls

A dedicated level meter and level slider on every track, with the slider controllable via MIDI. A trim pot is included for fine adjustments

Channel formats

Individual tracks can be set to mono, stereo or 5.1 surround sound

Channel isolation

For multitrack selections, a pop-out lets you monitor and independently amend individual channels within a mix

Muting and listening

Standard mute buttons, plus Pre-Fader Listen (PFL) and After-Fader Listen (AFL) for local monitoring

Advanced monitoring options

Monitoring behaviour can be tailored to suit the way you work.

Latch listen

When using AFL or PFL, enabling latch listen lets you monitor multiple audio sources simultaneously. Turning it off reverts to a standard switch mode, where selecting one source replaces the last.

Accessibility and metering

A larger, more accessible version of the monitoring control sits on the right-hand side of the interface, mirroring the main controls in the top-right action area.

You can also adjust the metering position to display either pre-fader or post-fader levels.
