Enabling manual mode
Click the SETTING icon
Choose AUDIO MIXER from the menu
Disable the AUTO-CONGIFURE option
📕 Note: Once auto-configure is disabled, the mixer deletes all existing outputs except for the default Main Output.
Automatic routing behaviour
Disabling auto-configure exposes several options for automatic routing. These rules apply only to sources added after the setting has been modified.
Rule | What it does |
Live sources | Automatically creates input paths for newly added live sources |
VOD sources | Automatically creates input paths for newly added Video on Demand sources |
Guest returns | Routes the main output path back to guest returns. This default delivers the full program mix to the guest, excluding their own audio contribution to prevent latency-induced confusion |
Replay audio | Unlocks advanced options to support multi-track recording of replay audio clips |
Creating and batch-processing paths
To populate a manual mixer, build out tracks with the New Path button:
Select the channel type — Input, Group or Output
Select the channel width, for example stereo
Define a default naming pattern
Choose the number of parts needed
✅ Tip: This process can be run as a batch, generating all necessary inputs, outputs and submix groups simultaneously rather than one at a time.
Interface layout and navigation
The mixer populates and organises faders into layers of eight-channel groups. If a production uses 10 inputs, the first eight populate the first layer and the remaining two appear on the second. Submix groups and outputs follow sequentially on separate tabs or layers.
Source assignment and leg routing
Tracks are configured by assigning audio-carrying sources from a top drop-down menu that aggregates all available assets within the vision mixer.
Multi-channel management
Multiple copies of the identical source can be selected, which lets operators break apart multi-channel audio feeds into individual streams. Individual tracks from multi-track sources are designated with a drop-down selector.
Leg routing
By default a stereo channel maps the source's left and right legs directly to tracks one and two. This behaviour can be modified.
Source channel selection | Result |
Left and right (default) | Legs map directly to tracks one and two |
Left only, or right only | Output becomes a dual mono signal, duplicating that channel across both tracks of the stereo channel |
Routing signals via sends
Once inputs are established, signals are directed outward using Sends mode. Clicking New Send gives a drop-down that routes a track straight to either a submix group or a final output.
Pre-fader vs post-fader
Selecting a pre-fader send ensures that adjustments made to the fader on the mixer console do not affect that send — it is delivered exactly as it is received.
Leg routing and widths
Leg routing rules apply to sends too, and behaviour depends on the relative channel widths of source and destination.
Stereo track to a stereo submix group — send the left channel, the right channel, or the combined left/right mix
A single channel, such as left only — outputs a dual mono signal to the destination group
