Accessible from the sidebar via the replay tab, the replay system is designed to give maximum control over live video capture and playback — from per-user channel setup through to dedicated full-frame replay operation.

Configuring your replay settings
Replay settings are not shared across the production team — each user sets up their own preferences, channels and sources. Click the settings icon to open the replay settings menu.
Select channels and cameras
Choose the channels you want to use and determine which cameras are routed to them. Each user can select up to six channels of replay.
✅ Tip: If a production needs more than six channels, add additional users — each managing different cameras or configurations.
Automated naming conventions
The system includes powerful automatic naming tools. Click the information icon to view the full list of available variables and construct sophisticated automated naming systems.
UI presets
At the bottom of the settings menu you can create interface buttons with specific presets.
Preset | Default behaviour |
Button one | 0-second pre-roll, 90-second post-roll — set by default |
Two additional buttons | Optional, with customised variables of your choosing |
Choose a destination
Once configured, choose where your replays are sent:
A media player — gives direct control over playback speed and playlists
A specific layer — sends the assets as video files straight to that layer
Creating and editing replays
Replays can be triggered from the built-in UI buttons or invoked through custom key bindings. When activated, the system captures a window starting 30 seconds before the button is pressed and running up to 90 seconds after — a two-minute replay window.
The first 30 seconds of captured video are accessible instantly. As real time progresses through the clip window, a highlighted area indicates live progress.
📕 Note: You can take a clip live before the full duration has elapsed — the clip continues playing out normally until the end of the window is reached.
Once a replay exists, you can adjust in and out points or navigate through the footage. These functions can be mapped to key bindings, enabling professional jog shuttle wheels or specialist keyboard commands for precise editing.
✅ Tip: Map trigger, in/out and navigation to key bindings before the show. On a fast-moving production, the hardware route is considerably quicker than the UI buttons.
Dedicated replay operations
For productions with a dedicated replay operator, there is a full-frame replay window. The basic operations are identical to the sidebar replay option, but the full-frame view provides significantly more real estate for previews.
It also lets operators cycle smoothly between destination replay players, streamlining the creation of instant replays and high-quality highlights.
View | Best for |
Sidebar replay tab | An operator also handling vision mixing or other control room duties |
Full-frame replay window | A dedicated replay operator who needs larger previews and to cycle between destination players |
✅ Tip: Configure channels, naming and UI presets per user, trigger into a two-minute window you can cut live at any point, and move to the full-frame window when a dedicated operator is on the show. With customisable key bindings, replay scales to a wide range of live broadcast setups.
